This charming home is a perfect example of affordable luxury. As first-time homebuyers, the clients had a simple but intentional budget with three clear goals: complete renovations left unfinished by the previous owners, renovate all three bathrooms, and fully furnish the home in a way that showcased their collection of meaningful pieces while reflecting their personalities.

To keep the project budget-friendly and efficient, we approached it in three phases. Phase one focused on completing renovations already in progress. We installed luxury vinyl plank flooring throughout the main living areas, removed an outdated gas fireplace that disrupted the new floor plan, built a kitchen pantry, updated hardware and light fixtures, and added window treatments and rugs to create a cohesive, finished feel.

Phase two centered around furnishing the home. We created a furniture layout that offered comfortable spaces to relax as well as welcoming areas to entertain. New pieces were sourced and procured to complement their collected items and casual lifestyle, creating a backdrop that felt personal and stylish.

The final phase involved renovating all three bathrooms. The two guest bathrooms have been fully transformed, with the primary en-suite renovation scheduled for completion later this year.

The result, an inviting home with the perfect balance between cozy and elevated, featuring a harmonious mix of new and collected furnishings. Contemporary and Asian artwork pair beautifully with whimsical accessories and thoughtful decor, resulting in a space that reflects the couple’s story while embracing a casual, transitional design aesthetic.
